Moving to Florida, have a few questions

Hey there,

Well, I just got a job in Florida and will be moving down in about a month. I would very much like to take my Subaru down with me, but its a Canadian car. Does anyone know of mod-friendly Subaru dealers (in the Pensacola area) that can change the speedo and odo and whatever else is required to make it insurable in the US? Are there any other things I should think about with taking a vehicle across the border?

Any things to look out for in the sunshine state?

it actually looks like he's here as well. I'm guessing he doesn't troll here very often..... so it again may be a better idea to go to the aforementioned site. He has an old post here titled: Jacksonville MOD Squad. That is the crew I was talking about. You're moving to a place where a bunch of people get together and work on their beloved Subarus. I envy you. We in Fort Lauderdale have started this Tradition...... yet we really only have one Skilled Mechanic.

Yeah man! You'll have a blast, I'm sure. And to think..... you'll get all the colors of the Seasons, plus maybe even a little snow, without the sub zero tems.

Hi~
I am from Vancouver, but I just got Alabama yesterday for visit...
but for your question...

you must have the documentation for the D.O.T US standard
then you can ship your WRX to FL without any problem!!
even it's moded..

Cz I am thinking to ship my WRX to Auburn in Alabama as well..
and I knew the car shipping company in Vancouver, so...
I have asked them...but they said that they don't insure the moded and lowered cars....
that sucks.....

The lowered car becomes a problem going on and off the trailer or rail car. Ask them to insure your car to a dollar amount. You may want to consider changing you suspension back for the trip down.

Things to look out for in Miami

I would invest in a good set on those covers that they put over horses eyes, so that they can only look forward. There are so many hotties down here, that one can easily and understandably lose focus of the road and slam into something.
