For all you WRX owners. Anyone interested in starting a car club for Imprezas only? I have seen alot of you guys and gals on the road and would like to see if we can start some kind of meet at Towers on Fridays. I think it would be pretty cool to start a club for our awesome cars. A club started in NY with three WRX's and they are thirteen stronge and growing. Let me know if anyone is interested.

We already have something like this. We have been meeting weekly for the last year and a half at Tower Shops. We are not so exclusive that it is an Impreza-Only club, though. But it is mostly Imprezas and WRXs. I am there either in a lowered Forester or a turbo'd Miata every week, and there are usually at least 5 or 6 WRXs and a few RS's as well. There are 3 RS-Ts that are in our "club" and at least 2 of them should be there tonite, maybe all 3.

Look for us in the first row closest to the Taco Bell. It will be roped off. See ya there...

 

Yup........ we already meet every Friday night at Tower Shops, near the Taco Bell. We'll be doing a Suby Cruise sometime in the near future as well. Last time we had 13 WRXs and 4 RSs. We're hoping to get more this next time.

Baaaah Humbug! What's the point? So we can be like every other Car club? No, I say we continue to be the laid back Subaru People we are: Enjoying our cars, chatting and chilling with those others who aren't as lucky to be laid back Subaru Drivers.

Can you post driving directions for the spot where you guys meet on Fridays? I move to Fort Lauderdale 2 years ago but I do not know where the Tower Shops are because I can't recall a spot by that name.

Will you accept a 1999 impreza 2.5 rs on the club?

 

We are a club. We have no name. We have no president. We have no rules. We hang out, we help eachother work on our cars, we reserve 24 spots every Friday nite for our fellow "club members." It is not an "Impreza-Only" club. Shoot, I drive a lowered Forester (and sometimes a turbo'd Miata). We let non-Subaru cars park with us, as long as they are Japanese, and at least have as much invested in engine or suspension as they do stickers. We like it that way. (Right Blue? )

As far as an RS, it is surely welcome. My wife drives a '00 RS Sedan. At least 2 of our "members" drive RS Turbos. (aftermarket). Remember, there would be no WRX here if not for the RS that came before it. Also, there were less RS's produced in the 4 years it was sold than 2002 WRXs. They are rare. They are cool. They are welcome.

Ok, Coming from the North Take either I-95 or the Turnpike to I-595 West. Continue West on I-595 until you get the University Dr. Exit and when you get to the light, turn Left (South). Heading south you should turn left at the Second Plaza light. (I believe there is a Gas Station there, and a Taco Bell near by. Remember the Taco Bell, it's an important Land Mark . Ok. Once you've made this turn you'll come to a stop sign. Turn Left (imagine that, another left, hehe) Now make your very FIRST right (YAAAY, a RIGHT!) and then at the first parking lot opening on the right you should see the keeper of the gate (AKA: 4ester).

Now, if you're coming from I-75 just reverse the directions up until you get to University Drive.

If you're coming from the South on I-95 or the Turnpike than all you do is head South on either respective road and then head West again on I-595, and follow the aforementioned directions.

We normally meet up at like, what Forester?, 7 o'clock? Most people get there around 7:30-8:00. I don't know if I'll be able to make it tonight...... I have a tire going flat on me, and I have to work until 8:30. DOH!

Yes sir! We do like it that way. Stickers are cool...... as long as you can back them up and they are tastefully thought out in advance. Not some tumultuous upheaval of stickers.
