Exclamation Silver STI Trunk Lid Trade

I have an '05 silver STI trunk lid with the wing. I want to trade for a plain silver '04 or '05 Impreza trunk lid in new condition. I'm in Ventura County.

Yes, but the bodywork changed between '03 and '04 and I don't know if there would be a problem in that regard. Also I don't get out to Arizona very often. What is your offer?

That sounds fair to me. If you pay for the work, I'll make the drive.

I don't want to trust my new STI to amateurs including myself. The job must be done by Subaru. Springs can do terrable things when suddenly released. Also the locks need to be swapped. My sources tell me the the '03 and '04 lids are compatable, so there shouldn't be a problem with an '02 to '05 swap.

I'll ask the dealer, but i'm pretty sure it won't be cheap. If it costs too much, i'm better off just buying my own spoiler. I'll look into it and let you know.

I called subaru and they were talking anywhere from 100-200 for labor. They will have a final price for me on monday. If thats the kind of cash they are talking, then i'm gonna say forget the trade. For that type of money, I could buy my own spoiler. Plus you don't have to make the drive.
