WRX Pass. Side Window Break-Ins!!

My '03 Rex was broken into recently... the exact same method of entry used on my buddies WRX as well...

They pulled out the top of the passenger side window and door frame, and then must of pushed the auto door locks with a stick or something....

I wish Subaru NA would design a fix for this easy entry...

hear Honda's or any car without a window frame built in suffer from this..

I only had keyless entry, and no alarm upgrade... dang!

The MF got my sunglasses, radar detector, and portable CB radio..
but he was the typical dumbass who left the radar mount clip AND the CB radio antennae.. making it useless..

Now I added a Clifford Arrow alarm and the whole car is covered for an amatuer anyway....

The Autolock saved the car from being ripped since he couldn't get it off and only managed to pull off one clutch pedal covers..

Thieves Burn in HELL!!!!

May a thousand Scorpions sting your nads to the MF who busted in!

Peace.

u think it would have helped if u had a alarm? i mean the stock alarm is god forgiving freakin loud and obnoxious, but other than that they must have staked out ur car to know u didnt have an alarm, i know how u feel my civic got jacked straight up in front of my house. doom on those people, what goes around comes around

GTA sucks!

yep. prob the same sob that broke into my friends WRX in SM...

It was on a nice residential street and now I'm sure the bright blue LED light might discourage the dumb *** thief from now on..

but I could be wrong...

At least he didn't get the car..

A pro would have.

Need to have some poison gas or high voltage or better yet, a .40 round right between the eyes for his ***!

screw em!

Whereabouts is this happeneing?

I've always wanted to be a decoy and lay in wait while some scum of the earth tries to break in.

We did that once with a buddy's shop and a shotgun. It was a real blast.

Never had a break in after that.

I live in the Ocean Park area of Santa Monica...

My bud lives on the other side of SM near Franklin and Nebraska... but he didn't report it..

Nice, wheels. Getting a cheap set of wheels for the Rally-X school coming up..

Ya, a "Surprise the DF Thief" Meetup...

SMPD couldn't lift any prints..

Also, Prestige Auto Coach in Marina Del Ray does top notch work on Rex's... they did a great job on my car, and my bud Dan has had his black Rex fixed there after a crash on Tuna Cyn..

that sucks.. they know it's an easy way in..

I always disable the rear trunk lid pull from the cabin... (the cancel switch on the trunk lock mech)

Happy with the Clifford Arrow G5. Forget Subie's alarm..

Good entry level alarm.. changes codes every click, and covers all access.. under $200 installed.

Hey, that's close to where I am....Overland and Olympic. We have a vicious dog with rabies, though.

I'd love to catch a thief in action and then make a rug out of them.

Ryan,

I went to Stereo City in Culver City. They have been around forever.

The owner is a older guy called Horst.

The tech was not some kid who is gonna jack your car knowing it's location..

His name is Mike.

He did the wiring to look exactly like the oem wiring under the dash.. I saw it and was happy it didn't stand out..

With tax it was around $260. I had him add the light in one of the center console blanks behind the stick.

It is nice and visible from there.. Blue LED.

Also asked him to hide the antennae inside the a piller upright.. can activate the alarm from far away..

Hey specwrx, you got a number or address for Stereo City?

My outbacksport got broken in 2 weeks ago in our apt garage
here in Korea town mid L.A.
Broke the passenger rear fixed window, sliced my trunk cover,
got my amp and sub, good thing i took my face w/ me, got a pair of glasses. I have an regular alarm but will upgrade to an Clifford Matrix 2.5x or Viper 690 XV. Do you think stereo city carry these brands? I need a 2 way pager alarm so i'll be ready w/ my shot gun when this thief comes back. That decoy car is a very good idea, these guys might be the same gang going around los angeles and preying on suby cars.....they should be punished!!!

Horst, (owner) should carry all Clifford models since he's a auth. dealer..

The place doesn't look very high tech, but the installs by Mike are very good.

It's in Culver City.
