Where were you and what were you doing on the day of 9/11/2001? Specifically when the Twin Towers were being hit by the planes or when they were falling?

 

I was eating cereal and getting ready for school. a moment like that could never be forgotten.

my prayers go out to anyone who lost someone on that tragic day.

 

i was full blown asleep i went to bed super late like usualy 2-3am and my roomate came in and told me a plane hit the toweres
i yelled at him get the Fu** OUT!! out of disbeleif that he came in to wake me up
so i fell back asleep
then he came in again
another one hit the towers.
what was it a cesna no it was a 747 or something a big one

ok ill get out of bed

he went to shcool and i just watched TV all day

 

Was in Japan. Got a call at about 2am from a buddy stateside.
Told me that the **** had hit the fan and to turn on the TV.

Was in total disbelief of what I was seeing, thought it was a movie and that I had the wrong channel on.

Later that morning when I reported for work at the F-14 squadron I was stationed with, we received the full brief and were given a motivational speech, that we would be deploying as soon as the orders were given and to prepare for the long road ahead.

 

I was on my way to work, when it happened. When I got there, one of my coworkers told me what happen. We had a little tv in the breakroom that was on all day.

 

i was at home sleeping and got a call from my dad about the planes crashing.
then i was highly paranoid for the next two hours b/c my aunt worked in one of the towers and i was actually there about three months prior on the 100th floor. once i found out she was ok i just watched everything on tv b/c skool was closed for the day

I was sleeping. I had just flown in from japan the day before and i was jet lagged. My friend called me and told me that we were being bombed. I got mad at him for calling me before noon and went back to sleep.

Then i watched it on the news a few hours later when i woke up.

 

I was in Mericdian, Mississippi doing my Navy apprenticeship school and we were studying for a test when the class clown came in and we all just told him to shut up. Then we heard an announment over the PA system and we met in the auditorium and watched the TV as the second plane hit.

 

I was asleep. My friend Travis called me and woke me up.

Travis: Hey man. Don't you or your gf work in LA? Terrorists are attacking the Twin towers.
Me: Nope, neither of us work in LA.

I was still half asleep at the time so I didn't think about it until later... why in the world would terrorists attack LA county jail Twin towers? That was pretty funny to me that my friend would think that terrorists had just crashed a plane into a building full of the criminals of Los Angeles. The rest of this topic is no laughing matter.

 

I was in S.F. I glued to the TV all day and keep saying wtf.

I was at LAB working on circuits and then my classes got called off for the rest of the day. We were told to evacuate since our school is located near by the Sear Tower. I went home and saw the second plane hit the tower and watched them collapse in disbelieve.

 

getting ready for school. for some random reason i turned on the news, and saw the plane hit. then all during school, eveery class just had the news on.

 

i was working in construction at the time. and i was looking for a way to get off work. then it happened and they still didnt let me go home.

 

I was sleeping in the living room at my friend's apartment... I heard the phone ring, and the next thing I knew, my friend came out of his bedroom and said that a plane had just hit one of the WTC towers. I thought it was an accident, and so we turned on the TV to watch. Shortly thereafter, the second plane came into frame and hit the other tower. At that point, I just felt really vulnerable and helpless. We both knew that our country was being attacked, and all I could think of was whether or not I had any friends or family there. It was a terrible day. Work was cancelled, and I was glued to my TV and computer for many days afterwards.
