A little more info for those who are down to attend and represent for Subaru...I am getting the impression that the parking lot may be just as exciting as the racing with a few clubs organizing meets at Dromo that night...

Come race and have some fun as Dromo 1 helps Formula D kick off their 2006 season with a night of $15 racing at the best indoor karting facility in Southern California
From 6:30 to 9:30pm on Wednesday, March 29, Dromo 1 will host Formula D drivers, officials, and fans on the demanding, 1148ft layout that is well known for the “slideways” driving style necessary to go fast.
Drivers signing up for races that evening will have the chance to go head to head with Formula Drift drivers Vaughn Gittin Jr., winner of last December’s Japan vs. USA D1GP and driver of the Falken Tires Mustang GT, Casper Canul, Taka Aono, Yoshie Shuyama, Samuel Hubinette, and drag racer-turned-drifter Stephan Papadakis.
The fastest nine drivers of the evening will compete in a free race, due to go at 9:30pm. Prizes and giveaways will include tickets to the opening round of the Formula D championship, April 1-2 on the Streets of Long Beach, as well as the chance to catch a ride in a Formula D car as it runs through the daunting Long Beach course.
Dromo 1, home of the most competitive indoor karting in California, is located at 1431 N. Main Street in Orange, CA. More information is available at www.dromo1.com, or by calling (714) 744-4779.

Aftermath:
So I ran 3 sessions and hit 24 each time and it still wasn't good enough. Kart 6 killed everybody.
It was nice running into all the Formula D drivers. Sam Hubinette, JR Vaughn Gitten, Yoshie, Casper, and Seigo Yamamoto talked with us for a little bit before the rest of I-club showed up. They were asking me for tips about karting at dromo. I pointed out the tall chinese/korean kid named special ed is the fastest. Sam was like why is he called special ed? I told him because he's retarded and slow minded but he's a fast driver. I pointed out to Yoshie that T is also one of our faster drivers in our group, Yoshie smiled at me said its great to see more women out at the track even karting, then she looked at T with a dirty look.
It was a lot of fun, I learned alot about setting pace and to never **** with old men who wear teal racing suit with **** stains.

the difference in karts hurts
you try not to think about it when you actually race, putting it all down to driver skill but it showed with kart #6. the teal racing suit guy was an endurance regular, i think his team finished in the top 3 at the us indoor karting enduro. not to mention the guys who set 23.8 in #6 were also enduro regulars...
