Or where abouts, no actual address needed...landmark directions are just as good too?

like the hole in the wall place across from Turning Point (ol'skoo' chinese hostess bar) 32 steps east of the Boba place, etc etc etc...

seriously, the only bad thing about the OG shim sen gumi is the drive to gardena. other ramen places are good too but i think that place is one of the better ones around.

correct me if i'm wrong because i'm always open to try new/better ramen places!

Ajinen ramen on Valley at Alhambra, if you can stand the drive there.

Kaisan/Kensan(sp?) on Fair Oaks and Colorado. Cool people, cool owner. Guys may appreciate Mai.

The Ajinen ramen used to be so good the first time I tried it in Hong Kong. The freaking bone from the spare rib fall off the meat. That make me realized that Ramen is my favorite food... but then everything went downhill ever since... Ajinen ramen doesn't taste good anymore =(

Well, different people like different style of ramen. I still like Daikokuya over Shim Sen Gumi.

We should roll with hey1 to Shim Sen Gumi in Rosemead sometime since we both live in Monterey Park and he lives in downtown LA
