Well, I really did try guys. But it looks like we won't be getting any support from the local beaches for the 20th. Most of the beaches said no and the ones that didn't say no said we have to get some type of insurance and pay application fees if we want to have a large group. It's a lot of work just to have a fun day at the beach. And none of them will hold parking spaces, save fire pits or give parking during the peak summer months. But no one can keep us from going to the beach and having a good time on our own while this country is still free, right?. We just won't be able to park all together and I am going to have to get up super early to save us some fire pits. That is if we decide to go to the beach.

This Sunday Aug's 20th is our 5th meet and drive. From the looks of the poll we will be going to wrightwood for a BBQ by the lake. But there is still time to vote so please cast your vote today at subietech.net. IF it is in fact wrightwood for a BBQ, route maps will be passed out at the meet as usual, but our meeting place will be announced in a few days. It will be freeway close so don't worry.
If the vote turns the other way and we go to the beach, we will meet at the beach and will not drive.

The sign up sheet for the BBQ will be up soon.

here is an idea of some of the things we will need.

Hot Dogs and buns
burgs and buns
condiments: mayo, must, relish, cheese
veggies: lettuce, Tomato, onions
chips and salsa
Drinks:soda, iced tea, water, lemonade
paper plates
napkins
plastic forks and knives
trash bags
charcoal and lighter fluid / lighter
BBQ brush to clean the grill
etc etc.

Think 99cents stores and smart n final or walmart.
