When I was searching for my car I was living in Frazier Park, which is on the top of the grape vine (basically between Santa Clarita and Bakersfield). I shopped around at a few dealerships and ended up buying from Barber Subaru in Ventura. They were friendly and I got a good deal. Whatever you do AVOID Sangera Subaru in Bakersfield. I had two very bad experiences with them. They were jerks to me because of my age and they didn't take me as a serious buyer. Secondly, after I got my car I was taking it to them for oil changes because they were the closest. Well I ended up needing a new oil pan because they overtorqed my drain plug, which I discovered when I changed it for the first time. I had to argue with them for a few days to get them to warranty it. THEN when I got my car back after getting the new oil pan, it started to overheat on the way home, so I had to turn around and take it back to the dealership where they had to remove a bubble from the coolant system. So Bakersfield BAD Ventura GOOD.
