so i got my P0420 for about 2 weeks..and last night i got the cat inefficiency code fix and got boost back up to 0.92-0.97 bar.
it's still not holding boost at 0.97 , it would peak at 0.97-0.99 bar and then drop down to 0.92-0.95 bar.
now my first gear clicks and very knotchy when i try to put it in gear..
that really pisses me off.. with all the little problem happening right before track day..
bleh. my car is a crap box.
ARG!!

 

its supose to back off at higher RPMs

 

try changing the tranny fluid

 

i have already.. i'm using valv 75-90 dino
i just start noticing the problem yesterday..
it's just 1st gear.. it clicks when you try to put in gear at a dead stop.
i never put the car in 1st gear when the car is rolling either.

 

What do you do if you're going too slow for second?

 

i usually don't have that problem LOL
2nd gear is usually ok at even a very slow rolling pace.

 

I hate it when I'm behind some old ****** in a camry and have to come to a complete stop because the ***** is driving 10 mph, too fast to go into first, but too slow for second. I think that's pretty normal for that excuse for a tranny, mine is pretty notchy sometimes in first and in reverse.

haha .. well it doesn't grind.. it's just knotchy..
and it makes a clicking sound only in 1st gear.. it's ok.. it's probabily just me.. noticing all these minor stuff...

 

Do you have a short shifter, mine made a bunch of noises I didn't like before I too k it out.
