Stock and Invenstment tips

some of you have been asking me about stocks... i thought i would share some insights...

Just as an FYI i will not tell you what to buy because i don't want to be blamed on future losses if any but i will share you some insights on some stocks that might look good or bargain deals that are a big NO NO and if your broker tells you to buy be AWARE!

1. BAC BofA The stock has dropped roughly 65% last year leading into Dec. but don't let that fool you.... BofA will survive the credit crunch but keep in mind they took on Merrill Lynch (my 401K holder ) and also Countrywide Financial. The Gov't is basically giving IOU's and incentives to banks to lend out money which is good to stimulate the economy and clutivate some activity but the down side is banks don't make squat on that...

Banks invest your cash into other things if the gov't gives IOU's basically it cant be used to invest back it has to be lent to consumers. So intrade if the bank does not make money that means the stock won't grow so... they are roughly $20.00 a share with future cutbacks in staff due to low GP= no MULA!

2. Jahoo (YHOO) don't do it! yes they are big, yes they are strong, but let me ask you this... do you yahoo! or do you google??? Yahoo has been taking on less online advertisers Google has been slowly taking over, same as joootube, facebook even. Yahoo almost got taken over by Bill G. but didn't. oh yeah their CEO stepped down which means

*** those that do the market deal and want to share info and insights please do so... i like to play and any valid info i can get form others is worth $$$ to me ***

right now im buying companies that have cash on hand and a depressed price. MSFT, CSCO, anyone that is poised to make some acquisitions when things start to look up.

I also bought a ton of Ford (F) for sub $2 a share since they are near profitability despite the economic trouble.

Thought about Ford and GM but what i can tell is they will owe money for at least 10-15years before they turn a profit. Even if the stock goes up it's going to be hard to sell...

Right now i would look into consumer goods market like Target (not walmart! too much overhead especially in todays economic down turn)

Look into Plastics mainly companies that supplie the TV, Cell phone, suppliers... i have a good chunk in DSWL i have had it for about 10 years and it's always been good to me...

GM will, ford wont. last year even with the economy turning sour, they only lost about $300m down from $4b from the year before.

also, they aren't asking for bailout money
