no.. if you read all the DIY option 2 magazine.. they all use drier hose to make intake elbow..
it's sort of a DIY thing.. i guess people got from japanese race/track cars.
that's my guess.

 

If you are referring to the orange hose in the second pic, that is brake duct hose. It looks similar but is constructed specifically for brake ducting. It JDM, USDM, EDM or whatever race car it may be found on.
