Smog help

Can anyone help me out with smog? I'm thinking about buying a used car and it probably won't pass.

I know that the seller is responsible for the smog. however, i talked the price down from 2500 to 1300. i do not want to lose this deal because he doesnt want to smog it himslef.

If it is a test only station that is required it will be tough. I just had to go through that with my AE86.
