im thinking the later miles are hard to do
i dont knwo where he will need his second wind, so thats hard to plan
but the later miles means we can sleep in
it starts at 8.30
3 hours to get to us?

That's because my knee was in pain even before the half way point... it wasn't pretty but I finished it... sigh... months in training and I was prepare for it... then come the knee...

yep it happened to me at mile 9 of the 1/2 marathon. grats on finishing!
