i just wanted to let you all know that ESX and Santa Monica Subaru are hosting a "Sunset Strip Show and Cruise". here's the cut and pasted flyer:

I'd be down if other i-Clubers are going to be there.

 

We have track pre-tech the same day.. we'll see if others are interested to go down.

 

Free food......raffle....... In close proximity to me........ Now that's my kind of meet.

 

I dunno about that whole cruising sunset thing. It's a no cruising zone full of cops. A bunch of modified cars driving down the strip is asking for it.

 

I think the law of cruising is if they see you pass the same point within a time window. Duno if that's what they are refering to...

Yeah, I know that, but still. Do yo know how many cops are on the strip on weekends pulling over cars.

 

yeah, i used to drive down that strrip religiously.. haven't done that for a while

Melrose is dead in the evenings.

 

doesn't the "no cruising" law only apply to certain hours? like from 6pm to 2am? we'll be there during the day, so we should be ok.

 

the cruising law states u cant go by the same point more than two times withing a certain amount of time and thats in the evening

i dont there are very many cops there in the early afternoon. cuz the flyer says this thing starts at 11am and ends at 2pm so shouldnt have to worry bout that

 

It's different in different area.. but basically just more than one time in certain time. For sunset it's 2 times within 4 hrs i think

"motorists passing the traffic control point 2 or more times in 4 hours are subject to citation " is whats on the sign, doesn't say anything about what time of day but usually they have traffic control point later at night and rarely during the day, could be wrong
