so sad to hear. I can't even imagine dying that way, has to be one of the worst, he didnt even know his family was rescued

I was sadden by this whole thing because I can totally relate this incident. Begin a mountaineer I know the danger he faces. When I read the news and they said he only have tennis shoes, couple of jackets and no hat... my heart sinked. This is not your typical snowboarding day where you can just get inside a toasty lobby room if you are cold. Snow and ice get into your tennis shoe and you will get cold, you can't feel your fingers and toes... you are going to get frostbite... since your body is wet from regular clothes... hypothermia set in. I know that hopeless feeling when you are in the middle of nowhere and you are hours away from help. It's serious stuff! RIP James =(
