The 4 Special Stages will mean you have to grab a seat in the bleachers. They are about 400' from the Owners' Car Show, Service Break Area and the indoors Performance Vendor exhibits. Your Gen'l Admin covers all that ($13 disc. incl parking for Fri AND Sat). Most everything is right there in the park. I saw the Special Stages track layout plans and it will include two jumps, one off-angle and a big water splash. This course should be about 1 mile plus in length and all with great visibility from the new grandstands. Racing will be side by side!

If you choose to go up on course in the mountains, it will require special passes with additional admission. The organizers have had to rent special parking areas and will have the Spectator Areas equiped to handle crowds, ie restrooms, the Boy Scouts will have food, security, communications etc. They will provide shuttle busses to take you from the special parking areas to the Spectator Stages. This will require a decision as to where you chose to go. It would also be advisable to car pool with a few people from the Fairgrounds to the special parking areas. You can leave your baby in the Car Show and head up the the mountain course if you choose. No need to have parking issues with the law and long hikes in the mountains (except one location). Spectator safety is a primary concern. To be positioned in the Spectator Areas in time, it may mean some Special Stage time may be missed in the park. Note the event schedule.

Here is the event schedule link:

Here is the info on the Spectator Areas:
http://www.rimoftheworldrally.com/tickets_purchase.htm
These special tickets cover your Gen'l Adm.

Spectator safety and impact on the forest area is of major concern.

Bring a walkman, rally radio will be broadcasting live and provide good coverage over the area.

A neat computer/projected leader board will be live with stage times and leader positions in the vendor exhibit hall.

Above all drive safely to and from.

See you at the RIM!
