raced black wrx on 101 in TO
I was coming home from my friends house and got on the 101 at lynn rd in thoudsand oaks and saw a black sedan with a guy and gal in it. So i got next to them and we raced. omgosh it was dead even, but i had to get off at wendy and didnt have chance to pull over or sumthing. I have a greddy cat back and MBC but boost is turned down to 14 psi right now. i think he had a cat back too.
I have a blue wagon and was wondering if your on i-club

Great your street racing on the freeway with another genious remind me to look out for you the next time I have the kids in the car since you are completely irresponsible and you post it on the internet and want us to applaud your tremendous display of skill you were able to hold down the pedal and keep the wheel steady while you rocketed in a straight line. You are so freaking hot, my god the skill you must of had to use. Screw freaking Takumi we now have coolbeans the racing god to look up to. I just can't imagine how you could develop such tremendous skill. I hope you never come up behind me with such a daring display of grit you might force me into an error, in fact I am sweating right now just thinking about it. You are my new racing idol

Give this guy a break it's the idiots in POS Civic's and the like who are the true danger, weaving in and out of traffic going 20-30 faster than anyone else. Dumb Kids, Dumb cars.

POS or POS WRX it is the same thing to me sorry but I never race, sorry that is why I rally and do track days when you race on the street you are in an enviroment that is uncontrolled you cannot predict the actions of others, it may not be you that makes the mistake but another person that cuts you off because they did not see you racing up on them, you serve some else swerves and well you get the point. Besides that, it aint racing if you are both going straight anyways you are just to people speeding in the same direction (this includes all and any form of drag racing)

I agree with where you're coming from on this, I have never raced on the road either. It's very dangerous especially when you consider how quickly a WRX gets over 100 mph WOT in 4th.
My point was that as far as DANGER is concerned, 2 WRX's going in a straight line on an empty freeway is not the same as the Kamikaze crew in the Civics. In my opinion the tone of your reply was a little harsh, the sort of thing that Coolbeans would dismiss out of hand.
Coolbeans, please take your car to the track. Do you know what the CHP is going to throw at you if you are caught doing in the vicinity of 100 mph side by side with another car? How does walking to work sound?

"STFU" that is what I would expect from a person that lives in the 805. How does your WRX look in front of the trailer? I think that you missed my point and that was besides being dangerous freeway racing is gay.

The assumption is, that we as WRX owners, are more sensible. Nothing more, nothing less. I'd be even more pissed to see a WRX driver doing that.

LOL!!! Tifosi77 I think you are being a little harsh as well! I'm pretty sure everyone has, at some point in their life, gunned it for at least a couple of hundred yards. If your answer is no, you must have skipped childhood and really should have purchased a Mini-van instead of a REX. As for Drag Racing not even be a form of racing! Yikes, pull your head out of the sand. There are more forms of racing than just "Track Days". Even if you don't enjoy them, there are plenty who do, and plenty that are very good at it. Could you piolt a car down the quarter mile at 300+ mph???? You'd probably be cleaning out your pants if you tried.

Well if you want to drag race then get a real car for drags like a 69 Charger RT or Cuda, or Roadrunner, or well anything but an awd car. Drag racing AWD accomplishes nothing except transmission damage. I hate drag racing because it does nothing for me. As to cleaing my pants after trying to pilot a car down the 1/4 at 300+MPH I challenge you to pilot a 1700 lb. rwd car that you have never drive at 70mph with only corner lights, sideways with two hundred foot drops on one side in the rain, mud, and sleet on shot rally tires. When you do that then you can throw down some driving challenges. Sorry but reaction times and acceleration just do nothing for me. As to buying a minivan instead of a WRX your right I should have I need to get a new service van for our team, plus I wouldn't have to be associated with all of the Jackholes that drag race a WRX (no offense to all of my friends that drag race but you guys know how I feel). I mean I could drag race a lawnmower if I wanted to. Just because it is on TV or you like it doesn't make it a sport. My head is in the sand because I just saw a WRX with spinners, oh the horror
