my poor car!!!
my poor car!!!
">
I was involved in a car accident about 6 months ago. I got hit on the passenger side front tire/fender. I took it to the body shop and it took them about 3 months to "finish" the car. When I picked up the car, I noticed it the front bumper wasn't painted and i also had some scratches on the grill. I also noticed there was a knocking noise in the front suspension. I notified them and took the car back a few days later. It took them about 1 month to paint the bumper and grill. They also said they torqued down my front end. I had to return the car because the front bumper wasn't aligned and suspension noise. I got the car back a few days later and again they told me they tighten the suspension. I just started backing out of the parking lot and noticed the same noise so i went back to the shop and told the service writer about it. so i went on a test drive with the mechanic (which happens to be an older man). I duplicated the sound and he swore he couldn't hear it but he was gonna recheck the suspension. he finally gave me back the car and i backed out the parking lot and there it was again! but the old dude was nowhere to be found. I was so pissed off that i just took the car home.
one and a half months later, noise is still there and my bumper is still misaligned. I was going to install new fender braces, when i noticed they didnt even install the factory brace on the pass side! im pissed off. I donut know whether to notify the body shop or the bureau of automotive repair (BAR). The BAR does free body inspections for cars with previous bodywork.
My problem is, do you guys think the BAR deny any help if they find out i have no emissions device in my car? I just want to get my car rechecked by some one else besides the body shop. I dont trust the body shop's work. I hope my long post doesn't stop you guys from giving me some helpful suggestions.
TIA
BTW, the body shop that did the work is http://fountainvalleybodyworks.com/. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

luckly there was no injuries. i was pretty upset because i try to take care of it as much as possible. oh well, i just hope its not done. i love the damn thing. its kinda heartbreaking just to look at it. as far as bodyshop work... i guess mob works is a pretty popular place to go. thing is that i've checked out their website and i dont see any info on collision or frame damage work.
man, i hope not. im pretty sure my tranny got some damage too. if thats the case, its gonna be totalled. right after i got hit, i tried to drive the car off the road but it wouldnt move. if the wheel is not rubbing on the strut, then yeah, its the tranny.

I'm fairly certain that there are ways to keep a car that has been totalled. I've heard of that happening before. Unfortunately, the car is considered to have a salvage title when all is said and done. It should definitely be fixable, I've seen vehicles hit worse than that roll just fine again...
WOW thats a bummer
that should be the price for some good paint
i mean if it was 20-30$ i would have said well.............
but it should have been good for that much. did they color sand it?
