HDMI went bye bye

teh gf tripped on the cables behind the TV and fubar'd all the connections. Pulled the boards out and the tiny points that were soldered by an Indonesian child have been severed. I looked all night to see if there is a replacement board and there is no luck. To repair an issue like this costs close to $1000.


What to do?

either try to resolder.. look for local tv repair shop or buy a new TV.

well if someone is an electrical engineer or who knows how to solder should be able to do it. with that said

who here is an EE or knows how to solder?

 

i know how to solder :P used to major in EE. maybe resolder it back and take it in for warranty?

 

they're tiny solder points like half a millimeter

the problem is how bad it was ripped off the board.... hopefully the points on your circuit board itself is still ok.

did you buy it at costco? If so just put it back together, take it back and they should give you a new one...
