muffler shop?

hey fellas, i tried a search, couldnt come up with anything. well i just got my 06 a couple days ago, and i want to go with an exhaust. i was thinking turbo back, but am a little worried about emissions and whatnot. i was thinking of going with the turbo xs axle-back, and then later on when the funds are back, getting a downpipe. is that a good idea, or is it better to save up totally for the turboback? or just buy the axle-back, and then go to a muffler shop and have them custom make me the rest of the tbe? i put it in the socal section because maybe some of the cali people can shed some light on the emissions question i have, and also if its a better idea to go with the custom piping, which shop is a good one. thank you for any help you guys can give. if it is in the wrong section, feel free to move it to where it needs to be.

no no this is the right spot

well i know alot of us are running catless

but you gotta pay to play sometimes and if you get caught you can be in trouble

as far as teh exhaust do what you want if you want just an axle back now i know the prodrive bolts up to the stock mid pipe. one of the members here maybe selling there's soon. I did the custom center section from gold coast in LB it was 120$. you dont need 3 inch if you arent putting big numbers down according to simon lines from prodrive. you can do your exahust in stages if you want

no offense mike but gold coast (the one on atlantic? ) ****ing sucks... there's two better shops that do work for a bit cheaper... there's advance tire and muffler on PCH in lb too... they've done a lot of work on a lot exhaust work on my cars and i can't complain as to how it's come out...

they did a cutout w/flange for appx $55...
shortened my stock catback to fit with 3in dp for about $35
dual exhaust on a 1967 camaro for $230ish

etc etc

hahah nice

but yeah dude, those asshats overcharge for everything... they wanted to charge me 25 dollars to loosen up 1 bolt on my exhaust in my t/a ...

back to your q... lol i was too cheap for an axleback... knowing i'd eventually replace it w/ a tbe so i just had a cutout made and it sounded decent enough

its still illegal if you tamper at all with a cat before 100K miles

they throw the book at you if you run the high flow aftermarket from what i hear
