Irvine Subaru warranty coverage ? ?
Has anyone dealt w/ Irvine Subaru and their coverage for trannies under warranty? I recently discovered that my 4th to 5th gear shifts are starting to grind really bad. After shifting several times into 5th gear this evening I discovered that it only grinds above 3k rpm. I did also notice that if i double clutch, it goes in smoothly.
I did a search on this issue and found that this has happened to quite a few other people. They were able to get it covered under warranty but not without some hassel. My car is fairly new, still under 12k miles but I do have minor mods so I'm a little worried the dealership will give me a hard time and try to blame it on me being a "street racer". I take good care of my car and really want to know if Irvine will be a good place to take my car seeing thats where I bought it. So if anyone has any experience w/ them or can suggest a dealership that will help out, I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

dealerships will always give you a hastle. but i dont understand it when its underwarrenty why they would do that to you anyways. they get paid either way. and its up to them on how they state the problem in the report. so if it s good then then get paid under warrenty, if not you pay for it.
