Hey all,
I know this is a little OT, but since it was mentioned in another thread, I wanted to ask about it. I was wondering where I could get a DVD of Initial D. I have seen a few and I thought they were really cool (from what I could make out of the crappy DL'd versions that I saw in mixed japanese/chinese with marginal subtitles.)
I was just wondering where I could get a legit copy of the all the episodes. Also, I see advertised, episodes in VCD format, are those any good?
TIA
PS: The arcades in Westwood and on campus (@UCLA - Ackerman Union) have gotten the arcade version of Initial D, pretty cool stuff. Can't wait for the PS2 version to come out, if it ever comes out.

I picked up the Intial D series in Rowland Hieghts at this video store I go to. It's called Video 94 on Colima. I get my DVDs there at $15 a disc. They also carry a lot of other stuff as well, Kamen Rider, Go Lion, Macross,plus,2,7. I just finished watching the entire series of Zeta Gundam. All of these are sub'd and region free dvd's.
If your ever down at Life on Sundays, I can show you where the place is at.

Come down we have a couple of impreza owners who don't work and spend all there money on the Intial D arcade stage game. So join us in a battle. The game I'm really into over at life is Battle gear. More technical driving.

Don't worry if the post is a little OT. Everyone is welcome here. Anyways, if you are close to Little Tokyo, you can get copies of Initial D on DVD at the Auto Freak store inside the Old Yaohan, for 30 bucks. It's not cheap, but an alternative if you dont' have time.

As for the Westwood one, they switched back to quarters, just in case you were interested in laundry change

. It's the Metal Slug game where once upon a time I played for an hour on one quarter (not cause I'm that good, but my quarter jacked up the sensor and I had unlimited continues :-D))
