I have owned 3 2002 WRX's black/Blue/Silver and a 04 Silver STI. Im back to a Silver 02 WRX though(couldnt afford STI payments) I really wish I never sold my blue one, it was so damn nice. This silver one i have now is a POS 60k miles and I Cant get it to run right. Cosmeticly its decently clean but nothing like my blue car was, not one damn nick on the whole car. I sold it to cheap. Im thinking the ECU on my car is all fuggered up, 1-2 gear seems ok, 3-5 has like no power. its like its not receiving any boost from ECU. Feels like its just pushing the normal wastegate non controlled boost. (Dont have a boost gauge to check) anyone have a Cobb access thingy that could reflash my ECU for me? I live in San Diego!

yeah I ordered stuff to install a VDO boost gauge tonight. Im going to see if the boost is the problem. if it is Im guessing the boost actuator is most likely bad. if its not the problem im in for alot of trouble...


What it does is... it feels like there isnt much happening 3-5'th and alot of hesitation feels like my Girlfriend is turning on and off the AC like a mad woman between 4-6k Sense Car dosent seem to be runing right im not going to take it over 6k. (AC is off) with AC on I feel like im driving a slow *** Evo or something

Car has a HKS BOV, and the turbo heat shielding seems to be missing... Other than that the car seems stock engine wise. I ordered a stock BOV off ebay because im starting to get sick of the hissing.

I just replaced the spark plugs, did 3 tank fulls with 3m fuel injector cleaner, and I changed the Fuel Filter, Changed the PVC Valve, Changed the car to Castrol Full Synthetic, and Full Synthetic in the Gearbox/Rear Axle. The car shifts like a porsche now, slides right into the gears like butter... Luvin it! Wish I did the Synthetic oil on my last 3 subaru's

 

So that means you can't get a ride in his car tehn

i have a stock 02/03 ecu that you can plug into your car to see if its the ecu. Its just a spare one that i was able to pick up. If you want to drive to Riverside, we can plug it in for a bit to see what happens. Did you ever touch the boost actuator? Some people do that one turn in mod to get rid of the fluttering.

 

Well I took the car to the idiots at subaru last night, so we will see what they say heh. I hate subaru's CS but i love the cars. whats the mod and how do I see if its been done? I purchased the car recently, and the car was kinda ghetto'd up so Im trying to undo all the crap the prev guy did to it. how do I find info on the mod?
