The 1/4 mile time isn't started when the light turns green? It's started when your car starts to move? I thought the time it physically took your car to go a 1/4 mile is your 1/4 mile time minus your reaction time? That's not right? :-(

This link explains the whole reaction time thing and how it works. The second is a pic of a track layout. Your time starts for your 1/4 et when you break the light beam on the second set of lights (gaurd lights). Your RT is when your tires roll off the stage light. The way I understand it, was your stage beam is your starting line and the, Gaurd beam is what starts you 1/4 et. When your tires clear the stage beams that is what determines your reaction time. Then your et will start as soon as your wheels break the gaurd beam. I think they said the distance between the 2 is like 11in or so. From the last yellow light to the green light the time is .500. For a pro tree it is .400. Sorry in advance if this doesn't make cense. And i think I probaly repeated myself in this too.
