i have a real car question open ecu
so for the most of the day yesterday i spent most of my day comparing cobb ap vs. open ecu. i am alittle confused, i think i am leaning more towards open ecu but one question i have is were do i get maps? or do i have to modify my stock map?
one more question can someone list the pros and cons of each please?

Pro: going into the proper forum

open ECU is they way to go... i am waiting for mike to finish what ever he plans to do with his car before i play with Open ECU.
basically u start with your stock map and log how your car runs... depending on how your car is currently running based on load, rpm, boost, a/f mix, timing mark you can make proper adjustments to enhance performance.
you just need to understand the principles and make sure you tune for optimal cylinder pressure and not simply boost, fuel and timing, what your looking for is optimal burn so you get the full power out of the power stroke of the motor.
Any way no more car Q's cause we don't know crap about cars

i don't know..
i just remember hearing that there's certain parameter you can't adjust in the openecu program as oppose to ecutek, AP , AEM full have full adjustment in every parameter.
I don't know if it's true or not. That's why i'm asking.

i was looking at open ecu it gives every thing you need to tune on the car... the only thing i am not sure of is if your able to alter the scale...
Like tricking a sensor and rescaling those parameters, altering maps i don't think there is an issue but altering scales to prevent sensors to read max limit and go static that i don't know...
But not even AEM can do this you would have to change sensors... the only one that i know that is capable of doing this is the Bosch ME7.X and later versions.
