hey val, concerning your oil thread

hey val, you mentioned that you that you blew out your gear cuz you used the wrong tranny oil.....what were some of you symptoms before your gears went out? my gear seems to be shifting a lot more notchier then usual......so i was wondering what to look out for when your gears bout to go out

Hey Thanx, (ROFFLESCHNIZZLE)

I would notice a degradation in my downshifts, especially from 5th to 4th. The grinding always occurs during the downshift, so now i have to rev match to get the gear in without grinding. If you notice a consistent slight grind, take the gear lube out asap and change back to stock if you could. Jason (Lethargicman( has had the same isssues as I did.

thanx for the heads up......my shift has been really notchy lately, but no grinding, knock on wood.....anybody got any other info to chime in with?

a gearbox usually starts sounding more and more like a dog-box before it goes, especially under decelleration.
