dont hate on the BOV. I love my BOV and i have had it on for 3 years. Just make sure you put enough tension on the spring so you keep proper gas mileage and dont run rich. The stock piece is just fine as well but where is the fun in not having the loud scream saying "im turbocharged so outta my way!" hehe. I took panelling off when i put cyclone intake on and i get all excited when i hear the turbo whistle as it spools up . I love my suby.
(it takes more than just removing side panel to get whistle though,must take off the 3 cats and then you are good, walla! car can breath better with increased throttle response and no turbo lag). Do not do those unless you know what your doing though,you have been warned .

 

........i had a bov =( it broke....greddy type S...the bolt stripped when i was adjusting it....needs to be rethreaded or somethin'.... god i miss the vrooooooooooom psssssssssssssssst

first off, Ricers dont have turbos. If they have turbos then they are putting in proper performance. Ricers r people that put neon lights on their cars and all this flair with a stocked engine. I love my BOV and in my opinion, i think its better than stock non-bov that comes with car. My reasoning on this is the stock piece is perhaps better for the car but makes it shift smoother cuz it was built for comfort for the adverage non rally enthusiast that buys this car. when u put a bov on it. IT holds boost stronger in each gear and lets it out hard when shifting and u fill it. Thats a sign of strong boost holding and i noticed with stock piece,it slow leaks the boost out for smooth shifting. This also goes for suspension. Stock suspension is smooth but try taking a hard turn at a track at 80 mph,the car will lean and thats not good but tahts for comfort. Now i put Tein Coil overs on my car and that thing rides like tank now,not much comfort but i can take a turn at 80 and the car doesnt sway at all.
