Open ECU works pretty good.

I used it on the blue car and it is running nice. I'm starting from scratch to hone in the skills. (Why do you think I'm doing that)

I'll keep you updated.

I think the FP's are difficult for the stock FBC to controll boost. The nipple for the waste gate is on the bottom of the housing making the hose longer. Adding a few inches in the hoses causes boost creep or boost surges. This makes it difficult for the FBC to bleed and correctly control boost.

Hunting the correct values is time consuming which adds to the cost. It can be done but it's hard to compare FP's with Greddys 18g.

The reason why my car preforms so well is that I keep things within the performance thresholds. Each components has its minimum and maximum thresholds. If you stay within those bounderies you will see efficient results.

My fuel rations are in the 9's still and boost is at 1.05 bar or so (15.5 psi). I still have some tuning to do. I had it dialed in with the ecutek when mike felt the wheels break loose. That's here I'm trying to get it back too.

but if anyone is serious about getting tuned it will cost but I think it will be worth it.

Some of you may be having trouble based on components that are bad or because the components are not tuned/calibrated to the ECU. Tuning/calibrating a perfect running car verses troubleshooting Boost creep, surging or simular troubles are different and there is a fine line between. Steps 1 and 2 clears a lot of those things up.

here are the steps

1. verifiy/validate your goals
2. evaluate your components - (to see if it can be done and it the parts will work)
3. estimate the time and effort.
4. then schedule
