Good Tuner Mechanic in San Diego area?

Hello all, now real confusion here. I'm just looking for a mechanic in the San Diego area that understands something besides stock Scooby's (and RX-7s, for that matter). I just moved to PB, and the one mechanic I do know down here is clueless when I'm having problems with an aftermarket part.
Also, in Northern CA, when I was having issues I could take the car to the dealership, but down here it seems that no dealers will touch it. Is this normal?
Thank you,
-AM Urbanek

The current problem is with Cobb's "Stage 2" clutch kit. Though I would like to find a mechanic in the area regardless. I haven't foudn the problem yet, and I'm putting the original equipment back on just so I can move the car (despite the slippage).

From another post of mine:
the pressure plate is so stiff that I can't even get the car into gear (it's possible to slot it into gear while up on the lift, but once the weight of the car is on the wheels, there's no way to get it into first, and attempting to shift into reverse gets that pretty grinding experience).
