haha i used julie's shower over the weekend. but i do need to get a new one in soon. i've gotten two quotes so far and they're both expensive!!! 900 and 1250 for a 40 gal WH swap!

i was going to do that (even at the more expensive price.. they said $3k min), but it wasn't possible because of the condo setup. they need to run a separate, larger diameter gas line from the meter to the unit. in my case, it would have to go through three other condos to get from the meter to my garage. when i get my single family detached, i'm going to do it.

damn that sucks. Why not get the townhome detached now then? Anyways, I'll be helping my parents buy/install one of those flash heaters once the current water heater goes on their house and that will be soon.

have you looked into thermal heating units? this would be a better choice than the tankless w/h. and the energy is free!

anything that requires an outdoor fixture would take a min. of one month to get it approved by the hoa board. i hate living in a place with hoa. my unit and the roof has too much shading and isn't oriented in the right direction for this to work efficiently also.

thanks for the heads up though.
