i was supposed to work a 9/80 schedule as agreed on our memo of understanding. but since our management director has stated that we are understaffed we work a normal work schedule. which is bs everyone else in the city works a 9/80 with exception of certain individuals

i've never worked a 9/80. what are the benefits of that compared to normal hours? one day off for working extra hours for 9 days? overtime?

 

well for me working an extra hour for 9 days to get a every other Friday is pretty good deal for me. i'm stuck in traffic anyways so might as well as stay an extra hour. theres not any other benefits other than i save one day from commuting to work.

ahh i see. sorry to hear they took it away. i don't get your boss's reasoning though... you're going to work the same number of hours. is it just an issue with your availability on your day off or does he want you to work overtime everyday with no days off?
