So found a red ringed xbox 360 yesterday on craigslist.. guy wanted $50... I offered him $40 and he said ok.

Came with 20g HD, power brick, and AV cables. (i already had a wireless controller and wireless adapter)

So i buy it and go to my brothers. Used about $5 in parts from home depot annnnnnnnnnnnnnd fix the red ring of death

So now ive got a perfectly working xbox for $40

 

45$ + other costs like gas and time

damn college kids arent smart these days

 

my time isnt worth much

its all about removing the xclamps and bolts that hold the intercoolers to the board. Then removin the old thermal paste and putting some new back on.. basically thats it. Oh and you replace the bolts and xclamps with plastic washers and regular bolts

 

So basically we are gunna try to find unmolested xboxs with the red ring and buy them pretty cheap then turn around and sell them
