they have a limit here too, they forced one guy to take vacation cause he rack'd up some much time. He was off for a month.

 

i would never take that much off.. just feels to weird when you get back to work, gotta get caught up with ish.

 

Yea i've hit my limit and can't accrue anymore.

speaking of that... When do they usually require you to do smog.. Bought my car in Oct of 05' and I've never smogged it yet.. Was it 6 years from the time you bought it??

 

if it was new when you bought it, you dont have to get it smogged 4 years after it was new i believe...after that its every two years

 

The California DMV will mail you a registration renewal notice telling you whether you are required to get your vehicle smogged; it will also tell you if your vehicle requires a smog check at a test-only station. Exceptions include:

* Vehicles made in 1975 or prior

* Diesel-powered vehicles

* Electric vehicles

* Natural gas powered vehicles weighing more than 14,000 pounds

* Hybrids

* Motorcycles

* Trailers

Also, if your vehicle is six or less model years old, you are not required to obtain smog certification as long as you pay the annual $24 smog abatement fee.
