GMR (Glendora Mountain Road)- Need help.

i'm new to SoCal, just came down from NorCal. I didnt know any mtn roads here till today. I found out about GMR just right now and I just want to know a few things before I head up there for my first time (gotta keep in shape with my NorCal boys). I'm not planning to even give it more than 50% for the first but still just to be safe...

1- Is it even open right now?
2- Are there any specific road conditions I should be aware of?
3- What types of cars frequent there? (Been hearing horror stories about "wanna-be drifters" crashing/falling off road on other forums)
4- Traffic conditions? When is best time to go? (Considering visibility, traffic, weather..)

it's a 40 min drive from Riverside but since its the closest thing, it seems it'll be my main course. anything will help guys.. thanks.

It's closed right now. Drifters go up there, I haven't been up there. I have a friend who has a 240, he goes up there with other 240s.

there was a lot of dirt and gravel on the road... so much that I got 100% lost in a dust cloud... so i'd assume so.
