The KFC that your had long time ago wasn't real it was all a hoax. See Taco Bell and Pizza Hut devised a plan to get Pepsi to buy all three. Then merge all of them together. They are slowly mixing .........

I had a friend who used to work at KFC cuz he thought it was the best fast food fried chicken near his house during high school. Told him about popeyes, and he didn't believe me until I took him one day. He still thinks the KFC biscuits and fries are better though.

i agree with the op when kfc was actually called kentucky fried chicken that ish was good. i vaguely remember pioneers being good. but nowadays its popeyes all day. Cajun rice FTMFW

You made a good point about the KFC hoax. Maybe KFC use fake chicken 10 years ago because KFC don't have the method to make fried chicken. If we look at the picture of the fryer maybe we can tell the fryer isn't functional... with dupe tape and foil everywhere. Maybe what I was eating was fried tofu. But now the techology advanced and KFC can make real fried chicken... and its taste sucks.
I am hitting fried chicken(s) next week after my last summer backpacking trip.
Jokes apart, I don't know if USA landed on the moon. I only know korean bbq all you can eat is $15.99

Popeyes is the ****. They might be less marketable, but they stick with their recipe. I love their sides too. Their cajun rice is a killer. KFC is ok, especially their sides.
On the other hand, there are always Cali alternatives. Roscoes and Honey's Kettle. Roscoes has their days. You walk in during a non so busy time, their chicken is just not hot enough. Honey's always deliver well.
You also can't compare fried chicken in Chinese restaurant as well. The way they cook it is totally different. The fast food joint conventional fried chickens are breaded or battered, then they get fried. CFC gets cooked by basting oil onto the chicken continuously, same techique gets used in the popular "exotic" dish, peking duck.
Believe it or not, Albertson's has their days of good fried chicken. The batter is pretty well seasoned, i must say.
Anyhow, this is just the talk of fried chicken. If you want to talk about chicken alone, then the topic and debate on which taste better can last forever.
Here are a few my favorite chicken dishes:
chicken koobideh (Persian Cuisine) this is some serious ****.
chicken katsu always good with curry.
chicken of the sea

I went to Pioneer chicken and Church's Chicken today. (leg and thigh at both location). The result is inconclusive. Their chicken didn't give me the omg it's so good factor. I think Church's spicy chicken is the best for now. I need to try popeyes and that honey chicken thing soon. Probably a meet popeyes next thur?
