Does the perrin install as cleanly as i have heard. I hear that they give you all the bumper beams and everything no cutting. Also i have an 04 an d i'm going with the vf34 and supporting mods. I am debating on tmic or fmic, which turbo do you have?

btw blk04, clear those headlights. It makes aworld of difference. Totally changed my front(mines black too).

Yes, its a very clean install... smooth as butter Stop debating, just go FMIC.

As for the headlights...uuhhm, I like the orange inserts. When the sun is hitting my car, the bronze really stands out from the paint, and being that I have bronze rims too... well the orange inserts just goes well with it. Besides, the clear headlights remind me of Ricers with clear tail-lights. It does look good on silver and whites suby's though. Then again if I had different rims maybe I would.

blk04, I love your car... exactly how I would want to do with an RS hood and FMIC on an '04. Great job!

Nice pic.....Do you have a picture of your engine? I am just curious as to how the fmic piping looks like under the hood. I am considering going fmic, that's why I ask. Thanks

Sounds like hatersism coming out from you. J/K .. Do some research, and the FMIC always comes out on top. Like you said... from what you heard.. Well, let me tell you from what I know. The lag is maybe about 100-300 RPM only but, when the Turbo hits.. it HITS. Power is very impressive. All the way to redline. Get in a car with a good quality FMIC, and thats been tuned and you'll see what I am talking about.

Certainly not.

Actualy I'm making my statments from the postion of having done my reasearch. I've been in both FMIC and TMIC supported vehicles (WRX's) with similier modifications, both EcuTek tuned, and found that there really isnt that much difference if any. And yes I understand the cooler charge facts.... Unfortunetly the one person who had the FMIC has recently changed to a TMIC because he was backed into in NYC by a truck and had his FMIC destroyed and found out the hard way that even though insurance may cover the cost of parts most body shop frown at doing non OEM installs considered after market "modifications". Hence he easily became less anamored with the "bling" factor of a FMIC and quickly relized the commonly overlooked potential of a TMIC of good quality... like Vischnu offers... or even simply the STI's.

Unless of course your mods dictate a FMIC... but from what i've heard, again, they have to be pretty significant... i.e. at least a turbo upgrade.

Like I said though.... sure looks good.

Just joking about the hatersism... FMIC or TMIC, just depends on what your future plans are. Thank you for the compliments.

Thats why I would be scared to have a FMIC in a rally... you hit some unidentified object on the course and now you need a tow truck to drive you home.
