engine repair in LA

engine repair in LA

I just moved to LA and need a recommendation for repair on my 97 Impreza. I have what my last mechanic told me was a somewhat typical oil leak, that will require the whole engine to be taken apart.

Any suggestions for good repair places around Silver Lake?

I had my car towed 90 miles to his shop to get the head gaskets changed, and top part of the engine rebuilt. Thoroughly satisfied with their work, and the little 'extras' that came with the service.

"typical oil leak"? Hm.

Imprezas are notorious for both their front and rear main seal leak problems.

I have a leaky front main seal. It's a lot of work getting to them.. I'm just going to wait until I change my belts to do it.
