Cool Places in Orange County
Sup Scoobie dudes & dudettes!!
Will be taking the family to Disneyland next month. I would like to know if there are any really neat car shops to visit. I've been to Island Motorsports and Robocar and both were pretty cool. Also, is it worth visiting Irvine Subaru for Scooby accessories like T-shirts, emblems and such; nothing big 'cuz I gotta carry it back home with me. Would really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks for the reply. Is easy street a shop, if so, where is it located? Not to sure about the reference to Moanalua Valley was. As for my original post, I meant Robotek in Garden Grove, not Robocar (brain-fart). I love driving around on the mainland, and like looking for speed/auto accessory shops. So if you know of any shops thats worth stopping by at, hit me up with some names. Also while on vacation, we gotta have our local (asian) food, so we look for places to eat. Have had good Chinese (Sam Wu), Filipino (Goldilocks), but have not found any Japanese or Korean places. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Mahalos!

Irvine Subaru has people to talk to about mods but they have a small glass display in their service area of a few mod parts. As far as what they have, You can actually see what they have at http://www.spimotorsports.com
There's really nothing there to go see though.

Thanks for the info on Irvine Subaru. I went back and read a few of the prior posts regarding speed shops in So. Cal; how is Renick Subaru in Fullerton? I noticed that they have some stuff on their website, is that place worth checking out? Also would like some feed back about South Coast Subaru.

Thanks for the info on Easy Street. again, not too sure why you would mention my quote on Moanalua Valley "bump for moanaloa (sic) valley" you mean "bump up for Moanalua Valley?" I dunno. Anyways "dumb haole" that's the last thing I would think to see, especially on the So. Cal region of this website. I hope you did not mean anything by it, but it's the way you put that I took it negatively. Payce!!

No way! What was the story on that place, Jeez, I was in there for about fifteen or twenty minutes last year. Not to be morbid or anything, but my curiousity is getting the best of me. What's the scoops?

Thanks for the replies to my Robotek question. Will be leaving for California in a few days, anymore suggestions as to what shops to visit? I'd appreciate some more suggestions before I leave, so I can figure out where they are.
Thanks!!

I buy all my parts from Renick and they seem to have a reasonable amount of parts. They have one large glass display and two racks full of parts. If you go ask for Christina Reiter and she will help you out. If you want to call ahead to find a certain part their phone number is 1(714)871-9300. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips, I think I'll drop by Renick during my trip. As far as the meets; anything happening between June 5th and the 17th? The timing never seems right when I go on vacation there. Only in 1999 was I able to have lucked into the Hot Import Daze show at Long Beach. I'll be leaving on the 4th, so let me know soon.
Thanks again.
