is customer service a big deal to you guys when you shop at places like Circuit City, Best Buy, Frys?
for me I never really care, I avoid the staff to begin with.
For 09, Ed and Charles sold me, I'm all about Amazon

customer service isn't a too big of a deal with me, as I also avoid the staff. CC always had a limited selection of certian items all the time and the wait to just pay sucked. As they usually always have one or two registers open. I have used amazon before and would use them again. Never had problems with them, but I perfer to buy something and be able to take it home with me that same day.
REI, Adventure 16 = yes... somewhat. Shoefitting is important
Running Shoe Stores (not Nike, Footlocker... the real kind) = yes... they need to give me the right shoe (running shoe has 3 different foot types)
Bike Stuff = yes... definitely since I don't know what I am looking at.
With my 'yes'... their stuff costs more than online stores... but I appreicate the service
CC, Best By, Frys...etc = no

If you are looking for computer parts and you don't know what you want exactly, that's were the service would be required by a in store clerk.
I think for most of us we know what we want in the case of computer parts or electronics when we go to CC or Bestbuy so pricing is more important.
Online pricing are usually easier to compare instead of running from store to store.
i think that's true with electronics too.

Few months ago I went to Costco to buy a canon. It has a booth with demo cameras. I picked up the SD990 and there is no memory card in the camera. so I ask the girl to see if she can let me try the camera with memory card. She told me they don't have memory cards for people to try, I point my fingers at the memory card next to the TV and ask her if I an use those... *_*. And when I bought the camera she gave me the wrong one. I didn't find out until I got home. So much about customer service.
