I'm selling one of my project cars and I'm kinda fuzzy on the title transfer stuff. What else besides the pink-slip do I need? I know I need the car to pass smog, but last time I had it done was in September. Is the smog certificate too old?

 

dont quote me but i think the smog is only good for 30 days if you sell it... i know you dont need to smog it as long as it pases when the new owner smogs it , ( project car, so im asuming it doesnt exactly pass)

 

im sure it still passes smog. i heard that smog is the seller's responsibility. if i sell the car as-is, can that responsibility go on to the buyer?

Oh yeah, don't you need to pay a transfer fee of $15? There are forms on the dmv website if you need them...
