I'll keep you in the loop if you want to run with us. We go once a month on average.. more often in the winter than the summer.

The US Brammo Atoms are street legal. I'm not sure what the regulations are in other states, but in California, they're registered as "kit cars". Jay Leno has the only one in SoCal, and two are up in NorCal.

Even the base 2.2L NA GM Ecotec drivetrain in a US Atom would spank an Elise/Exige/Cup on the track (provided equivalent drivers). It's not just my opinion. It's common sense.

If they're that rare then they must be expensive

The UK Atoms are pretty rare.. but I think just under 20 US Atoms have rolled out of Brammo, and there's roughly 50 others on the waiting list or that are being built.

The base 2.2L NA GM Ecotec drivetrain with no options is just under 34k - not a total bank breaker. The top end 2.0L SC Ecotec drivetrain is about ten grand more.. and if you really have bucks, the upper end SC Honda VTEC drivetrain is 49.

But you can't really buy an Atom with the stock brakes. You need the Alcon 4-piston race brake package. Oops, another $2700.

And the race suspension/koni package is another $3900.

I wouldn't say 80-90k, but it does add up real fast

I guess "good" is a subjective term, but a majority of the selected options could be left off and the Atom would still be "good".

My build comes to $65,297.00 with all taxes and fees.
