Thumbs up

I was thinking about going this one.
Now that it's $155, it's hard to refuse.
I'm most likely to go.

I'm gonna do my motor swap next month so it depends on if the new motor is running well enough for track too.

I was wondering how much emphasis on instruction part... anybody know?
I am hoping that we can have a lot of free practice by ourselves as well as instruction with instructors.

what about that skid recovery and skid pad practice they are advertising?

I go to track events a lot (every month so far this year). It's always fun and I learn by myself but sometimes I want second opinion from an instructor. I really want to perfect braking this year. That's why I was interested in this event. What I really want is something like a "licence test" in GranTurismo. I learn a lot from that and wish there was a school like that in real life.

Im in for sure. Do we have to have the instructor even if we have prior track experience? What configuration are they going to be running the track? Do we have a say in it? My vote is to INCLUDE the bus stop and get rid of the spike. So basically the FULL configuration minus the spike. What other clubs well be attending? I would like to know who im going to be sharing the track with. For example if its a speed trial event I would stay home.. haha If any of you have ever attended speed trial events you know all it is is a bunch of fiberglassed out aluminum wing wearing honda's trying to show their stuff on a road track for the first time. NOT COOL AT ALL!.

Keep in mind everyone you'll need a helmet, prolly SA-2000 on up.

hey hey hey,...

I thought I would ask here that way others that might have the same questions could have them answered. So we can have instructors all day huh? That being the case, my driving skills might require that I have every empty seat in my ride filled with an instructor.. hahaha

Buttonwillow is by far my favorite track. Granted Ive run it in a RWD car. I dont have any track experience in my WRX so well see how it goes.

Who is running this event? Are we going to have official times?
I'm interested.

I'll try to get my dad to go, since he keep saying $155 is expensive.
