Arrow Black Goop!

Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question. I was looking at my suspension today, when I noticed this black tar like coating that is all over everything. I mean like i was like paste. Didn't smell like oil, plus its too thick. It sort of looks like that spray in bed liner (for trucks) by rhino lining, or Line-x... Anyway, I thought i was like some sort of weather protectant, but its comes off.. Like if I run my fingers on it, i can actually take gobs of it off. I don't see any leaks in my car (06 STi, like 2 weeks old). Its sprayed along the inside of the Fender walls front and back, some in the under carraige... I also thought it might be spin off from tire shine, but its much too thick... Is this normal, should I be worried??? TIA for any info?

sound dampening material. If it's really tacky then that's what it is.

You can remove it with a rag and either leave it plain or re-spray with eastwood undercoating.

Shouldn't have to worry about since this is So Cali, no salt no snow

Cool beans! got worried for a bit. Yeah, this stuff is thick, just like tar, and tacky.. Does it ever dry? or is it just going to stay like that?
