heh, i was expecting a low wage and would have accepted it had it been like 13 or so... but i can totally understand why they'd be cheap

My 1st job in the computer media industry only paided out $12 per hour starting.
Unless your a doctor or lawyer stop complainting.
No one makes the magic 50-60k per year fresh out of college.
I stuck it though for almost 2 years and finally moved on to a better job.
Experience matters that's all I can say.
