Well, I know that the owners and people working at both Matsuda and Katsu-ya are actually Japanese. You should try it out. Matsuda's on the corner of Carpenter Ave. and Ventura Blvd. (just east of Laurel Cyn). Or there's Katsu-ya on Ventura Blvd. and just east of Colfax.
