I'm driving up to Brammo Motorsports next week, August 17-19, for a tour facility and test drive of the Ariel Atom. If all goes well, I'll be placing my order for a build before the year ends.

I'm leaving Thursday evening (around 7 PM), stopping in San Jose for the evening, waking up early and driving the rest of the way up to Ashland Oregon. My meeting time is around 1 PM, and the tour is approximately 3 hours long. With about an hour of fudge time, I'm open to either driving straight home after that, or stopping again to sleep.

I have friends and relatives up north I'm staying with. Passengers are more than welcome to stay with me or we can make arrangements otherwise. If any of you norcal'ers want to come along or meet up for dinner, let me know. Ed? Seri?

I'm planning this trip with another person whose Atom is currently in build at Brammo. He and his girlfriend are driving up to see his car, and they will be driving up separately in their own vehicle. We'll tour the facility with him and his girlfriend.

I'm open to having one or two passengers with me. Is anybody here interested?

I'm going to be deciding between the 300hp Honda VTEC drivetrain and the 300hp GM Ecotec drivetrain. The Honda drivetrain is technically beyond my budget, but ... we'll see.

I also need to clarify the rumor that Brammo will only be building GM drivetrains in 2007, which will greatly affect my ultimate decision.

Let me clarify: I haven't fully committed to buying an Atom yet, and I have not yet placed my order.

It will be a big decision for me, but I think I'm finally ready for a track car.

Soggy, can you do a late dinner on Friday night? I'll have to give you a call on Friday when we leave Ashland.

So far, nobody wants to tour the facility or go for a test drive.

Dinner? Ashland??? I have Thursday-Fridays off from the Suby dealership ~ Medfords a quick 10 minutes away... wouldn't mind a visit to the factory for that matter... been telling myself I am going to that for awhile now!
