Any interest here in joining in my Rota wheel group buy?
Any interest here in joining in my Rota wheel group buy?
Okay I've already started getting interest in a GB on Rota's for the the GVR4 guys. I'm now going to offer it up to my fellow SCIC'ers again using the same shop as last time Redstar Racing. They are who we dealt with last time. Prices should be close to the same of @$450/set for 17's, $525/set for 18's (15" and 16" prices will be @$350-375/set 15's, $400/set for 16's).
Friday I will be faxing the information I get over to them to get finalized pricing. Also unlike last time I am down here and can have the wheels shipped to me and you can all swing by and pick them up. I have a garage to store them in so no worry about their safety.
Here's the info I need from you the buyers:
I am hoping to have this set and ready to go so everyone can order/pay for their wheels by the 1st week in May or before.
Rich
*edit just to clarify this is a GB on wheels for any Subaru offered by Rota.

Website(I will be doing this on a couple other forums to get more orders in)
1st wheel choice, size, finish
2nd wheel choice, size, finish
*3rd wheel choice is optional but reccommended

one time i had rota wheels and i was driving and they cracked. then i almost died, but i didn't die. then mattjk posted a picture of my wheels which caused rota to post this.
anyway, rotas are good. buy them.
look how shiny they are:
never mind the crack.
i'm sure that will never happen to any of you guys.

.....Yeah rota will ship you those exact wheels too. It's not like other manufacuterers have bad bacthes of wheels. At least they took care of those who did have and potentially did.
So Eric care to tell me who pissed in your cheeri-O's this morning
.
I will be making a quick list of all this and adding it to the others from the other boards and fax a preliminary list over to get solid pricing. Also it will allow people who want them to be able to call and start the ordering process here shortly.
I am considering having a "password" so he knows your part of the GB as last year we had alot of people bombard him with calls about it but were from outside the GB (he still sold to them but he'd prefer I give him the info of who is in since he's pretty busy).

I was thinking about joining this group buy, but I really got frightened and started crying after Eric M.'s post. Sorry.

What about what happened after they contacted Rota and that they got replacements for free because they had a batch of wheels that failed under stress. Rota has since shortly afterwords beefed up the design and recalled all wheels with the older design and replaced them with fresh new wheels at the owners choice. I've known of many other wheels including Volks that have failed under stresses one guy even had a set of BBS's literally shatter at a track event.

Thank you for clearing that up, Rich. This has soothed my concerns due to the propaganda initiated by Christian Electronic Pop Star Eric Melzer.
I appreciate your time.
