I had a close call the other night too. After another install at Eddies house, getting on to the 57... Almost nailed this guy

Needless to say, I got to test out my sway bar.. Nice solid piece.. lol..

Oh, and the furry little facker lived..

yeah, there's a bend in the road prior to reaching the 57 freeway. as i was coming around that bend (just after the traffic light), there it was, crossing the street right in front of me. there were several other cars stopped just to watch it.

i nearly killed a duck coming near grand ave. it was colorful with a blue neck.
not nearly as spectacular as a deer but i think it bounced off my bumper then kept on walking down the street. o_o

when i was hiking in utah (bryce canyon and cedar creek), i noticed that the deer were mostly out in the mornings and evenings. so i would suggest hiking very early in the morning if you want to see juan. they also tend to be near water.

ya... when I am busy and want to introduce hiking to my coworkers and friends, I usually go echo mountain or eaton canyon. I go to mt wilson, mt baldy, ice house canyon, sometime in the santa monica coastal area...etc.
