bumper to bumper traffic and idiots driving is not a good combination. I got rear ended and now my bumper has a boo boo. Was wondering what you guys would recommend.. would touch up paint do the trick?? or would I have to paint the entire bumper ?

did you get the info of the person that hit you? insurance time for him/her.

 

I'm in the same boat as him, but someone did a hit and run. You guys think touch up paint will fix this? =[

of course i got his information! however he doesn't want to go through insurance, so if he's willling to compensate the cost out of his pocket, it would be easier that way.

 

just have him buy you an aftermarket bumper ie cwest or something good and just say youll have it painted win win

but yeah touch up will do the trick on the scratches if it isnt too deep i can look at it at a meet if you want

 

at least with bumper to bumper, you won't get owls and whatnot flying through your hoodscoop.

hmm, does anybody has some spare touch up paint they can lend me?? i only have2 very small spots to fill :P

 

If the guy is willing to pay out of his pocket to fix it, just have the whole bumper repainted.

But yeah, touch up paint should do the trick. I don't have your color, but it's very expensive for a small bottle.

 

yeah if he is paying for it dude just go buy one

 

touch up paint will work but it will leave a ridge. if that bugs you i suggest getting 2000 grit sandpaper, soak it and slowly rub the edges down. take your time and it will be like new.

-stainless steel polish (home depot) 20 min...
